Jara
owner & FOUNDER (Concentrate Certified)
Jara awoke the dream of Spot 23 back in August of 2022. With it approaching 15 years since her first arrest for cannabis and handfuls to follow, it only felt right to dive into this opportunity once the peaceful plant became recreationally legal. Jara has been a stern activist for the legalization of such an herb that was created to provide medical, mental, and day to day benefits. Upon entry of Spot 23, Jara wants all visitors to feel like they’re in the enchanted island of Puerto Rico, embracing calm, good vibes and nothing but positivity. When it’s time to smoke, Jara’s go-to song is So High by Rebelution. Her favorite strains are Jack Herer, Ice Cream Cake, and Forbidden Fruit. Sativa is utilized for any yard work or dishes that need to be done. Hybrids are usually paired with hiking and indicas are used for all times, haha! Jara holds onto the fact that she is always genuine and everything she does is always done wholeheartedly. She absolutely loves that she gets to help the world with cannabis, alas!
Sandra
General Manager (Concentrate Certified)
Sandra has been a consumer for 25+ years and carries the empath trait that all customers seek when shopping. She loves all the medical benefits that cannabis has to offer and cannot wait to share her knowledge and love for the industry! Her favorite song to smoke to is Let the Good Times Roll by BB King & Bobby Bland. Favorite strains are Tangerine Twist, Z Pie, and L’Orange. Sativa is used to clean, organize and paint. Indica is for a cozy snuggle sesh. When smoking a hybrid, Sandra is motivated to clean her truck. Spot 23 believes Sandra is the glue to the team!
Bryan
Supervisor (Concentrate Certified)
Spot 23 having known Bryan for 10+ years, it only made sense to bring him onto the team, carrying the loyalty trait he wears very proudly. He is a true marijuana enthusiast, stating; “It’s cannabis – what’s NOT to love?!” When rolling up a joint, his favorite song to listen to is Can’t Take It When I’m Gone by Wiz Khalifa. Bryan’s favorite strains are Sophie’s Breath and Sour Diesel (from 2009). When smoking sativa, it’s burned in a joint and used to clean the entire house and do laundry. Bryan medicates hybrid strains to keep it chill and indica to eat and nap. Spot 23 loves you and your style Bryan!
Antonio
Supervisor
Spot 23 is more than delighted to have employed the 420 Expo’s 2022 & 2023 Joint Rolling Champion of New Jersey! As displayed in our beautiful store, Antonio was willing to let Spot 23 hold his champion belt and plaque to show all patrons that walk in! When consuming cannabis, Antonio’s favorite song is Hot (Remix) by Young Thug ft. Travis Scott and Gunna. His favorite strain of all time is OG Haze. After smoking, Antonio feels confident to tackle all aspects of life, whether it’s working out, studying, partying, etc – he does it all! The best quality Antonio carries is that he accepts all walks of life. Spot 23 thinks Antonio is remarkable with his knowledge and history in cannabis!
Jennifer
Budtender
Jennifer is a natural born people-person. She is always bubbly, charming, and ready to help customers find their perfect product! When consuming cannabis, her favorite song to listen to is Something in the Orange by Zach Bryan. Jen’s favorite strain is none other than GMO. Sativa is said to mellow her out, while hybrid is used to make Jen function normally on the day to day. Indica strains are quoted to “make her husband happy”, haha! Spot 23 knows there’s no more perfect match to our store than Jennifer!
Candace
Budtender (Concentrate Certified)
Candace has more than an optimistic mindset and uplifting personality. Spending over a decade being a nurse, there’s no question about her being a super caring individual. Her favorite quality in cannabis is the neverending benefits that people can find in the plant! While consuming, Candace will pick to listen to anything by Tom Petty. Her go-to strains are Sour D or GMO. While hybrid strains usually make Candace eat a lot (oftentimes too much), she opts for sativa to get into chore mode or hit a hike. It is also known to drive her hubby crazy, haha! Indica strains will then make her hubby’s wishes come true and Candace will finally sit down and chill. Spot 23 values Candace for her sincere passion and enthusiasm at all times!
